Julia, Grace, Emma and I had a wonderful time on Sunday at Bridge Church, Newbury. Our dear friends Mark & Bev Landreth-Smith planted the church 4 years ago, and it was tremendous to see them again and to meet the lovely people they’ve gathered. For example, I met a couple who’d been part of the Southampton University mission back in Feb 2012. Afterwards, we were treated to a fantastic lunch with Alister & Aimee Clarke, Mark & Bev, and Pete & Helen Carter, which also featured an obstacle course time-trial in the garden, where Julia and I clocked times that were slower than the Bridge Church elders, and much slower than their children.
