This is photo from my talk at City Church, Canterbury on Sunday morning. There were around 350 people there for a baptismal service, and it was hard to see how any more could have been fitted into the venue. It was my 8th Sunday preaching there, with the first being way back in 2004. It’s tremendous to see how the church is going from strength to strength under the leadership of Martin Segal. What I loved most about the event was that if anyone had walked in thinking that Christianity was on the way out, then everything that happened from the first to last minute would have given exactly the opposite impression. Really fun also to see our friends and supporters Dave & Annie Watt afterwards.
