5 people who told us they are not part of any church, prayed a salvation response prayer yesterday morning when I spoke at Life Church, Ascot. And one other who said they are not part of a church, didn’t pray the prayer, but said they’d like to know more. This was my first ever visit to Life Church, Ascot, and also my first ever visit to Ascot Racecourse. It was one of the best appointed rooms I think I’ve ever preached in. I think it’s where the jockeys have lunch. It was a great chance to re-connect with charismatic pioneer Phil Rogers and also with his son Dave, who leads Life Church, and who also leads the youth work at Commission churches’ Westpoint event where I spoke on the opening night two years ago. Dave is a great guy doing a great work at a growing church. I also met some students from Royal Holloway University, where I’d spoken at a Carol Service a couple of years ago in the Founder’s Chapel.
