It was a great privilege for me to speak again at Above Bar Church, Southampton this morning. It’s 5 years since I last spoke there, and today was their annual “Discipleship Day” when they aren’t in their city centre venue but instead hire King Edward VI School. I really enjoyed seeing John & Alison Risbridger again. They looked after me brilliantly when I spoke at the Keswick Convention last year. John is the Chairman of Keswick Ministries and Minister at Above Bar, which is an FIEC church. Above Bar is a strong church, very well established and after my talk on Colossians 1:27, I went to a great seminar led by Ruth Spradbery, and after lunch, I did an interview and evangelistic preach outdoors at the church fun day. I also saw my Auntie Maureen, and Tamara Daly, who was at our church in Reigate 17 years ago. I also met Tony Watkins for the first time and had a fascination conversation about a ministry he ran for 20 years which involved using films to open up conversations about the gospel.
