A fantastic opening night of the Southampton mission at Highfield C of E Church, where Life Church’s very generous giving helped pay for lots of pizzas and Highfield’s student worker Ben Jackson told his remarkable life story before I came on and spoke to a great opening night crowd (pictured). I’ve heard nothing so far about response but from a speaker’s point of view the first day could not have been better. A massive well done to Sarah Williams and her team who have, as those Americans say, “hit the ball out the park”! A privilege for me to be staying with my friends John and Alison Risbridger who lead Above Bar Church, and who also welcomed me to Keswick when I spoke there last summer.
