23 responses to the gospel in Cardiff

23 people who told us they are not part of any church prayed the salvation response prayer at Rhiwbina Baptist Church in Cardiff yesterday. This was a great end to a busy day. Having spoken twice in the morning at Jubilee Church Enfield, it was a marvellous answer to prayer to arrive in Wales in time for a superb community carol service with the Melingriffith brass band. When it comes to feeling Christmassy, you can’t beat the brass introduction to O Little Town of Bethlehem! I couldn’t see a single empty seat in the venue by the way, which I’m guessing is around 350 people. And I was delighted to meet Craig Williams MP, the new Member of Parliament for Cardiff North. He did one of the readings and I sat with Gethin & Clare Russell-Jones who lead the church and who I’ve stayed with on one of my 4 previous visits to the church. Everyone did a great job, and they had a hog roast afterwards. I was feeling fairly elated on the drive back home on the M4. I’ve only got one Carol Service left now, King’s Community Church, Hedge End on Wednesday evening. I’m very grateful to God to see many people who are turning to Christ this Christmas.
