Life Works God’s Way in Kingston

This Sunday I’ll be speaking again at Everyday Church London’s “Life Works God’s Way” series at our Kingston venue. The talk is about the subject of work, and I really enjoyed speaking on the subject last week at our Wimbledon venue. Here’s a few other things that I’ve been up to recently . . . two weeks ago I spoke on “Why would a ‘good’ God allow suffering?” at Kings Church, Hastings. It was part of the build up to their Alpha Course. My talk was part of the promotion for an event called “Labels” which was their official Alpha taster event last Friday. They had 210 people attend, and that was a great encouragement. Kings Hastings have a fantastic “coffee box” venue as part of their rather large premises and they were full for the labels event. This week, I spent a day in Bournemouth at Commission Prayer, which is a gathering of the leaders of 50 or so churches, mostly in the south and south west of England. I had a great meeting with Guy Miller who leads Commission and was also able to share with everybody there about the last 12 months of The John 3:16 Trust. Yesterday I was at the equivalent event in Sidcup with Dave Holden and New Ground. Finally, let me mention that tomorrow evening, Julia and I are gathering here at our home some of the supporters of The John 3:16 Trust, which will be a fantastic opportunity to see many friends who we have not seen for a year, and a few who we’ve not seen for much longer. We’ll be casting vision for the year ahead.
