Preaching in a pub in Leamington

This is a photo of me preaching in the basement of a pub in Leamington (where most Warwick University students live). I spoke at the end of a fish and chip pub quiz. We had a very attentive audience and no seats free. Here’s a flavour of some of the questions I’ve been asked publicly this week . . . “What do you think of the Qur’an’s account of Jesus’ life?” “Why did some books get left out of the Bible?” “Why couldn’t God have just made sin disappear?” “Why doesn’t God respect us enough that if we’ve made a mistake, we can pay for our mistake? Why does He take it out on Jesus?” “As an agnostic, what benefit do I receive, assuming it’s true in believing in Jesus?” “What if Jesus was told that he was the Son of God from a young age and he really came to believe it. Why’s that not plausible? “Is sin just covered, or is it destroyed by Jesus?”
