Joel Boocock’s healing

Adrian Holloway on August 6, 2014 with 0 Comments

Here’s a healing reported on Wednesday of last week at Newday 2014 by Joel Boocock, 18, from High Wycombe. He was healed a year ago at Newday 2013, and he began by telling us the background:
“I’ve needed glasses for as long as I can remember. I couldn’t see hardly anything without them. People standing 10 yards away were a blur. I had a very strong prescription, in fact they didn’t have frames thick enough to hold the lenses, because the lenses were so thick, so they had to condense the lenses, and eye tests showed that my eyesight was getting steadily even worse.
“Prior to my healing I was wearing strong, condensed frame glasses, all day, which I’m sure you can guess made just about everything almost impossible without them! Furthermore, and this happened repeatedly over the years, if I lost or broke them I’d suffer really bad splitting headaches or migraines, adding to the difficulty.
“Then when Adrian Holloway was praying for the sick at Newday 2013, I remember seeing healings all around me for my friends and just speaking to God saying that if it was possible for him to heal them, then I believed He could do it for me as well.
“So I removed my glasses, knelt down and began to pray. When I opened my eyes, I could see the screen. I thought ‘I can actually see, this has never happened before.’ I was sitting two thirds of the way back and I could see the stage crystal clear. Just to have my glasses off and to not have a headache, for it not to be blurry was amazing. I picked up my friend’s Bible and I could see the words. I’d never been able to do this before!
“I had an eye test after Newday 2013, and of course I walked in with no glasses. They put my old prescription lenses back on me and when they did, I had headaches and double-vision! The optician, she said: ‘you don’t need glasses, you’re done, just have fun, basically.’ When I showed my mum the results of the eye test she was astonished. I no longer need glasses. A huge weight has lifted from me to not need them and an amazing blessing in my life.”
