A full house at Grace Church, Chichester

Adrian Holloway on December 15, 2013 with 0 Comments

There were somewhere between 600 and 650 people in combined attendance at the Carol Services at Grace Church Chichester today. They had put together a superb contemporary programme, which really involved the children brilliantly, as they told the Christmas story, and sang on stage. The band and choir were superb and the event was of the highest quality. The first service was for those who normally attend the Bognor Regis site, and it was full, with people standing at the back. They Bognor site is led by John and Molly Oldfield, who are veteran missionaries, having served in India and also in the Yemen. The Oldfields now find themselves leading the Grace Church work into Bognor in their “retirement”. It was great to catch up with my great friends Steve and Jo Petch who have led Grace Church to the huge numbers we saw today in less than a decade. I enjoyed going out to dinner with Steve and also with his daughter Phoebe. I was happy with my two talks. I did some new material in the second half of my talk.
