When I first spoke at New Life Church, Milton Keynes twelve years ago, they were a church of around 100 people in New Bradwell. Now they are at least three times larger and in a huge warehouse, which they are already extending. They asked me to speak on “Has Science Disproved Faith?” and then afterwards I met with a group of 6 evangelists from their church over lunch. Then from 3.00pm to 5.00pm I chaired a “critical thinking workshop” leading a group of 15 people from NLC in an exercise to weigh and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of various responses to the most common objections to faith. This was a very stimulating environment, and it seemed that everyone was enjoying the analysis of the debates we had. Huge thanks to Richard and Helen Wightman, who lead the church. What an amazing job they’ve done!
