I preached on ‘Christ in you the hope of glory’ at 9.00am and 11.00am at Lowestoft Community Church.I really enjoyed being back with those guys. The venue has been transformed since I was there last year, and they’ve spent a lot of money on it. And it was great to stay the night with Ben & Mel Parish on Saturday. They kindly gave me an amazing roast Sunday lunch too, and then Ben & I had a bracing walk along by the beach talking about the church’s evangelistic strategy. I was hugely encouraged by the feedback from my message this morning, especially by people who were there from Great Yarmouth. And it was great to discover that Mel became a Christian through the ministry of my friend Lex Loizides, when he was at King’s Church, Eastbourne. She heard Lex preach on “you must be born again.” LCC is the home of Mike Betts, who leads Relational Mission. Mike was in Canada for Keith Hazell’s funeral
