Enjoyed helping train UCCF staff in Exeter

Adrian Holloway on May 8, 2013 with 0 Comments

I was in Exeter yesterday doing some training for a large number of UCCF staff workers and relay workers. (UCCF is the Universities and College Christian Fellowship and I was with the South West team led by Dave Bish). These are some very impressive people who asked some great questions, especially about preaching to different audiences and about Paul’s philosophy of ministry in terms of becoming like a Jew when speaking to Jews and becoming all things to all men. We talked about what this looks like in all the different contexts we are working in and how to vary our approach to contextualise the message. We had some long conversations about how best to use illustrations for example. We had a great dinner together and I then went onto the Exeter University campus and did a talk in a lecture theatre hosted by the  Christian Union. I very much enjoyed both.
