7 healings and 3 responses for salvation at King’s Church, Kendal in the Lake District yesterday

It was fantastic to be in the Lake District this weekend. And we had a wonderful Front Edge Conference in Keswick on Saturday, where I spoke twice alongside my great friend Lex Loizides from Cape Town, South Africa. The venue was full for the event, and I then drove down to Kendal where I stayed overnight with Rob & Jo Horn, who have planted two churches in the area, one in Kendal and the other in Lancaster. I preached at both yesterday, and here’s some feedback from Kendal. There were around 200 people there, which just shows what a brilliant idea church planting is, and how good God is and what a superb job Rob & Jo have done in a very short space of time. I prayed for the sick about 15 minutes into the King’s Church, Kendal morning meeting. Lucy, John & Pat reported immediate healings of various problems. Shirley told us that she had walked into a closed glass conservatory door just three weeks ago and that she had just been healed of her injury a few minutes previously.

Then after a further round of healing prayer, Amy said that her wrists had been healed. And then there were two particularly memorable stories . . . The first was from Brian, who had suffered from blurred vision for 6 years. He said that he could now see perfectly well in his previously blurred eye, and that he had equally good vision in both eyes. Then Yvonne told us that she had suffered from severe knee problems for 5 years. She had already had one operation on her knees and was scheduled to go in for another one, as they still weren’t sorted. She told us that all her knee pain had gone which was quite a claim given the severity of her problems over the previous 5 years.

I then preached an evangelistic message and three people responded to the invitation to trust in Christ for the first time. Then at the end of the meeting, a man called Eric came up to tell me that he had received a significant healing having previously been diagnosed as having a hole in his eye. The pastor, Rob, had driven him to hospital, and told me more about it. The diagnosis was particularly dire as he’d been told that the condition would get worse and worse and that he would eventually go blind. However he told us that his vision had improved after prayer and pointed out several things around the room which he could now see which he couldn’t previously.
