19 salvation responses, 7 healings and the highest ever Sunday attendance at Grace Church, Nottingham

There were 19 salvation responses, 7 healings and the highest ever Sunday attendance (566 people across 2 services) when I spoke at Grace Church, Nottingham yesterday. In the 10.30am service, an elderly lady raised her arm which she said she couldn’t do before. Then a woman who had had back trouble for 4 years was very excited to tell us the problem had totally gone. Then a man who said he’d had arthritis for 2 years in his knees bent down and reported that he’d been healed. We then called people forward for prayer and there was a further healing we found out about through the cards which people filled in. I then preached the gospel and 10 people responded for salvation. Then in the evening meeting, two people came to the microphone to both say they’d been healed from a condition that had affected them for 15 years. We had one further healing report, before in response to my gospel invitation, a further 9 people responded for salvation. Earlier, over lunch my great friend Nick Sharp, who leads the church, told me that of the people who responded in the morning, all but one were people Nick had never seen before. Putting it all in perspective, I can vividly remember sitting in the car with Nick 11 years ago having a conversation about whether or not he and his wife Penny should move to Nottingham and start a new church. Grace Church was just an idea at that stage. Now a decade later, there were 566 who attended the two meetings yesterday. Their highest ever Sunday combined attendance. And by the way, as I was leaving the building after the 7.00pm service, the drummer told me a tremendous story of how he’d been healed of a severe allergy a sort of life-dominating allergy when I prayed for healing 5 years ago. I was very grateful to God as I drove back down the M1.
