What it’s like being me

Adrian Holloway on February 21, 2012 with 0 Comments

Every now and again I do get some encouraging feedback from people I’ve met. I just thought I’d post the below from a third year student at Southampton University, as it’s the sort of message that is so great to receive . . .

Hi Adrian, Hope all is well with you – I see you’re in Nottingham already!Just wanted to message you to say thank you for all your talks last week, especially that you so clearly preached the gospel. I had a variety of friends attending the events at all different stages of belief. It was fantastic to know that I was bringing them to an event where the gospel was clearly presented. It has opened up some fantastic conversations.I know that sometimes numbers can be overwhelming. But these individuals were impacted; 6 of my non Christian friends have now heard the gospel and one in particular is very interested in exploring Christianity a bit more. What an opportunity!

Also to encourage you – I read your book when I was 14, and it really did have a huge impact on my life. It was the first book that really made me think about my faith, about evangelism, and gave me a desire to start talking to my school friends about my faith. It’s been quite a journey since then!

So hope to hear from you soon with all that’s going on in Nottingham. We are praying for you here in Southampton.

If you have time to have a look, here is our testimony blog, giving God the glory for all he’s doing in Southampton, and having a written record of answers to prayer. There are many from Events Week: http://thekingdominsoton.tumblr.com/

Many thanks,
