I spoke to our second highest ever attendance at Christ Church, London last Sunday, 27th Nov

I was delighted to speak to 801 people at Christ Church London last Sunday, 27th Nov, spread fairly evenly between the 11am baby dedication and 4pm baptism services.

When the church began with just 20 of us in 2004, this sort of thing was what we were dreaming of and praying for. And a massive well done to the huge team who have worked so hard to facilitate this kind of growth since our first Sunday in October 2004. This was our second highest ever attendance, the only bigger Sunday we’ve had was a carol service a few years ago.

As I’ve been away so much this term, it was great to be back amongst so many friends at home base, and it was the first time I’ve ever been in a time of public worship with our 4 year old Grace. My older children stayed in to listen to me preach, which was also highly amusing, seeing as they’ve only ever previously seen me preach at Newday!
