In Great Yarmouth

I was so impressed by the amazing Kingsgate Community Church in Great Yarmouth this morning. This is a church which has doubled in size over the past 18 months. First I was taken aback by the enormous plot of land they own, only some of which they’ve built on. Then I was wowed by the coffee shop on arrival inside the huge warehouse like building they purpose built 15 or so years ago. I’d been invited by Adam Bradley, who I got to know when he was leading Life Church, Peterborough, and since Adam and his wife Lorna arrived to lead the Great Yarmouth church, it has blossomed, as lots of new people have come on board. This is a church that actually closed temporarily a few years back, and the remaining congregation went to church in Lowestoft. I met several people this morning who had hung in there over the tough years waiting to get to where they are today. But now they are flying. They’ve paid off the mortgage and I think that with such good leadership they should now continue to go from strength to strength. In the photos, there’s one of the outside, one of the worship time and then one of my speaking this morning. I got some super positive feedback, they seemed really pumped at the end! Adam and Lorna have recently been given a long-term house sit and I hugely enjoyed lunch at their new home with Dan & Ali Jones and their family.
