39 people respond in Hillingdon, Middlesex

39 people who told us they are not part of any church, prayed the salvation response prayer when I spoke tonight at The Crown Church, Hillingdon Carol Service. And there was an additional 1 person, also not church, who didn’t pray the prayer, but who said they’d like to know more about Christianity. Pastor James Hunting told me that he thought half the people there were guests. We had 500 seats available in the main auditorium. I couldn’t see any empty seats, and we also had a full 0 to 11 year old kids club programme next door, so there were hundreds of people on site. This is a church that has supported Julia & I for the past 4 years, and ever since we agreed that I’d come for their Carols, (back in the summer) they’d kindly done literally everything I’d asked of them. The standout feature of the event was a knockout vocal performance by Cynthia Adebiyi-Yekinni, Charis Insley and Nazarene Waite, which was their own adaption of a Bethel song called “Starlight”. A huge well done to all. I also had an amazing morning at a big baptismal service at City Church, Canterbury this morning. I’ll tell you about that soon, but thanks to all of you who prayed that I’d make it safely from Canterbury to Hillingdon in time for the 4pm start at Crown Church!
