17 responses to the gospel last night in Bristol

Last night we saw a total of 17 people respond to the good news about Jesus when I spoke at Newday on the Road in Bristol. I arrived early and caught up with Ben Welchman, who’s moved there from Catford. And once all the young people arrived I also met old friends Simon Greenland, from Honiton, Ian Jukes, from Exmouth, and Simon Walker, who leads City Church, Bristol, our host church. Zac Guy did a great job leading the worship, with amazing lead guitar from Steve Tait, who served us for so many years in that role at Christ Church, London. Last night I did a talk that I’ve never done with young people before and when I gave an appeal for salvation, I was delighted to see so many come to the front at the end to say they want to follow Jesus. Huge thanks once again to Phill Gray for pulling off yet another great event.
