25 new people sign up for Alpha in Ipswich

Adrian Holloway on January 13, 2019 with 0 Comments

25 people not part of church signed up for the Alpha Course when I spoke at Hope Church, Ipswich’s Alpha launch this morning. We had around 400 people attend across the two services, with similar numbers at 9.30am and at 11.15am. After an excellent time of sung worship we had an interview with Jenny Arowosafe, who told us about her experience of going on the Alpha Course. This set things up perfectly for me, and I am thankful to God for the response. This is a church that has grown significantly since I first visited 4 years ago, and under the leadership of Tom Scrivens, Hope have bought the Odeon Cinema in the town centre and they are in the process of converting this huge 5 screen venue into Hope’s permanent home. This is a major step forward for the Kingdom of God in central Ipswich, and gives Hope Church a platform to have massive impact in the decades to come. They could move in as early as this year. I was privileged to have lunch at Tom & Sarah Scrivens’ home afterwards.
