At the Boston Tea Party in Exeter

Upstairs at the “Boston Tea Party” preaching on Simon Peter’s confession of faith at Caesarea Philippi. It did feel different having been to Caesarea Philippi last year. Just before I came on, Tristan Kawalek, formerly of Exeter University Rugby Club came up and spoke about his life for 20 minutes, and he did a great job at being vulnerable and honest without embarrassing himself or any of us. I felt he judged it just right. We were packed out with no space at all at the back. I realised once I was in the venue that I’ve spoken there a couple of times before. We had a good response also with 2 people saying “count me in” and 4 “like to know more”. During the talk I managed to incorporate a band I’d seen advertised on the way in called Jonny and the Baptists who had as their tag line . . . The world is a mess. Here are some songs. Great atmosphere at the only off-campus event that we’re running this week.
