A great response at my home church

36 people who told us they are not part of any church, prayed the salvation response prayer when I spoke at our Carol Services this evening at my home church, Everyday Church, Wimbledon. And an additional 8 people who are also not church didn’t pray the prayer, but did say they’d like to know more. A huge well done to Pete Wood, who’d pulled together a galaxy of vocal stars to lead the congregational singing, special mention for our 16 year old Bethany who more than held her own on the front row, especially on the descant on the last verse of “Hark, the Herald!” Much thanks also to Sean Hammond who coped admirably with a barrage of detailed suggestions from a veteran Carol Service speaker, and anchored the meeting splendidly. And we also had a top performance of “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” from Nathan Guy, who’s done so much for our kids. Great to have so many of our friends from Fulham there also. I had an excellent morning in Ascot too, but I’m running out of steam now, so I’ll have to save that news for tomorrow.
